Is the Liberty Bank Gift Card a credit card?
No. The Liberty Bank MasterCard® Gift Card is a prepaid MasterCard® that carries a fixed amount determined by the purchaser at the time of purchase. Each time the card is used, the amount of the purchase is deducted from the available balance.

Is my card like a debit card?
The Liberty Bank Gift Card is unlike a debit card because you do not have a bank account attached to it.

Where can the Liberty Bank Gift Card be used?
Liberty Bank Gift Cards can be used to make purchases anywhere MasterCard® is accepted.

How do I activate my Liberty Bank Gift Card?
Your gift card is automatically activated upon purchase for your convenience and can be used immediately. We do recommend that you register your Liberty Bank Gift Card at https://www.consumercardaccess.com/main/therisingstar/Home to preserve your rights as a gift card holder.

Why should I register my Liberty Bank Gift Card?
Registering your card enables you to do the following:

  • Make purchases online. Most online retailers will not accept payments without a valid "billing" address. Your registered address will serve this purpose.
  • Have informed assistance from Customer Service Representatives when you call.
  • Know the outstanding balance available.

What Terms & Conditions apply to the card?
By using your Liberty Bank Gift Card, you accept the Gift Card Agreement provided to you with the card.

Is there a limit as to the amount that the Liberty Bank Gift Card can have?
The minimum value the Gift Card can have is $15 and the maximum value is $500.

How can I find out my available balance on the card?
The original value of your Liberty Bank Gift Card will be printed on the card carrier. You can also check your balance online at https://www.consumercardaccess.com/main/therisingstar/Home or by calling the number on the back of your card, 1.417.888.3000. Make sure you have the 16-digit card number and the 3-digit code on the back of the card.

Can I use my card to make a purchase that is more than the balance available on my card?
No. If the merchant tries to run the card for a dollar amount higher than the balance available, the transaction will be declined. The merchant can run the card for the exact amount on your card and you will be able to pay the difference. Refer to the Gift Card Agreement for details.

What do I do if I have further questions relating to the card?
You can call the number on the back of your card (417.888.3000), 7:30 am to 6:00 pm Monday through Friday or 8:00 am to noon on Saturday.

Can I use my gift card to withdraw cash or check my balance on an ATM?
No. Gift cards do not have ATM access.

Can my card be replaced if it is lost or stolen?
Immediately report a lost or stolen card by calling 417.888.3000. If your card has been registered you will then be instructed to come to any Liberty Bank Location to receive your replacement card. Your available balance will be transferred to the new card, less a $15.00 replacement card fee that will be deducted from the card's available balance. If the balance is below $15.00 a replacement card will not be issued. See the Liberty Bank Gift Card Agreement for details.

Can I buy gas with my Liberty Bank Gift Card?
You cannot use your card to pay for gas at the pump; however, you can pay inside and tell the operator the amount you want deducted from your card.

Can I use my gift card internationally?
You can use your Liberty Bank Gift Card internationally at any merchant that accepts MasterCard®. Please read the Liberty Bank Gift Card Agreement for details on currency conversion fees. Some foreign merchants require a minimum purchase. Don't forget to purchase the card for sufficient funds to cover any foreign currency exchange fees.

Is there a maintenance fee?
A monthly maintenance fee of $2.50 will be charged after 12 months of no activity. If you still have a balance on the card after twelve months of no activity, your card will be charged a maintenance fee every month that a balance remains on the card.

Does the Liberty Bank Gift Card have an expiration date?
Yes. The card's expiration date is indicated on the front of the card. If your card expires you are entitled to a refund of unused value via issuance of a replacement card as long as the card has been registered. See the Liberty Bank Gift Card Agreement for requirement details.

What if I want to return an item purchased with my Liberty Bank Gift Card?
Return and refund policies vary by merchant. If you are entitled to a refund, a credit will be issued to your card. The credit may not be added to the available balance for up to seven business days.

Can I reload my Liberty Bank Gift Card?
No, the card is not reloadable. You can purchase a new gift card at any Liberty Bank location.
